Your Reseller Hosting Business Plan

As I stated earlier in 2resellhosting it is essential to have a business plan. Now when I say business plan I do not mean something super complex, it can be typed up simply on your computer in the comfort of your home. If you are planning on keeping your hosting business relatively small aka. Just you or you and a couple partners then it is especially quick and easy to write a business plan.
The reason I write a business plan whenever I start a new venture because it is something that keeps me actively pursuing my goal. With out a plan and set goal, you will never achieve them. Down the road when things get tough, and you want to quick you can always look back to your business plan to regroup yourself and re motivate yourself towards your original goal.
The first part of your business plan should be a summary of what you are doing with your business. So in this case you would write about what type of hosting selling you want to do and what audiences you want to target.
Second and most important is to state your goal. One goal you are probably headed towards is money. Well, I recommended writing down an amount of money you would like to see coming in from online hosting every month, by the end of the year. If you do this you will always have something to look back at to keep you on track. How many customers would you like to have by the end of the first month? 3 months? 6 months? Year? Do you wish to have employees helping you sell? Anything you want to see come out of your hosting business should be listed under the goals section of your business plan.
Next I suggest writing down a brief summary of how you are going to execute your business goals. What are you going to do every day to make XX amount of money and so on?
Forth, write about your marketing. You can find more about marketing your hosting in our marketing section*** list all of the ways you plan on selling your hosting. Do you plan on giving it away? Do you plan on paying for advertising or are you going the free route***?
Next you should write your operating details. This is essential it will be basically a daily planner of what you are going to do each and every day. This can include the numbers of hours you are going to put into reselling hosting, it could include the amount of time you want to market your reseller hosting, and it can also include daily upkeep of the hosting** making sure everything is running smoothly. It is important to have a daily agenda so you stay on track. In this section I recommended breaking down the steps it is going to take to reach your goals.
Last but not least, write a conclusion to your business plan. Even throw in some of your thoughts about how excited you are to start this reseller business. If you throw in thoughts of how excited you are you will be able to look back and be reminded how excited you were at the start. The reason I keep saying it is good to look back at your business plan is because, with everything you do in life there are rough patches where you do not want to continue doing it anymore. Whether it is sports, blogging, or reselling hosting it always happens. To go a long with the business plan it is good to keep a daily or weekly journal, which may sound dumb, but I have found that it has real helped me out in my success of everything I do.
I wanted to reiterate that what I explained about is not an official business plan or anything like that but it is a good personal business plan that will keep you on track and keep you motivated towards your goals.
